A local school visited the site in Rotherham to see just what Creation does. The children were shown around and had the opportunity to see load of old rubbish – material to be recycled that is! - to ride in a collection vehicle and operate a Pedestrian Controlled Vehicle. They learned some valuable lessons in a practical and enjoyable way and we look forward to welcoming more local schools.

In partnership with Rotherham Rugby Club, Creation Recycling sponsored a junior rugby competition.

Despite poor weather the competition was a great success!
Great enthusiasm was shown by the participants and a successful
(if muddy!) afternoon and a great time was had by all.

Just three months after it started operating, Creation Recycling received a prestigious award to mark its dedication, hard work and determination to see a vision through to reality.

The honour was bestowed at The Future of Rotherham Conference, a gathering of 600 delegates from organisations, business and community groups trying to improve life and boost the economy in the Borough.

The Excellence in Community Achievement award is presented to projects that benefit the region through innovation and a fresh thinking and enhance life for the whole community.

The panel of judges recognised that the benefits Creation offered to the community were diverse. It encourages people to recycle, which improves the local environment and saves council taxpayers from spending their hard earned cash on landfill levies. It gets value out of household materials that otherwise would have been thrown away.

And crucially, by doing this, it creates jobs – in Rotherham for local people – turning a service into a real benefit for the whole community.

Creation Recycling Ltd has now launched its very own UPV-c windows recycling drop-off service based in Eastwood, Rotherham. The service was launched on the 5th February 2007 after funding for this project was awarded to Creation Recycling Ltd by Recycling Action Yorkshire.
